If you have not already spoken with your provider, we will be contacting you to transition you appointment to telehealth and answer any questions you might have about this service. If you do not have video ability, we will offer phone sessions as requested. If you are able, it is helpful to call your insurance carrier (there is a number on your insurance card) to verify telehealth is covered for outpatient mental health services.
If you do not have insurance and need to be seen at this time, we are offering sliding scale fees to accommodate ALL of our community. This is a challenging and stressful time. Finding someone to talk to and connect with shouldn’t be an added stress. Please call us (651-425-9297) and we will work with you to make sure you have access to mental health care.

Dr. Harmony Carlson is The NEST founder, clinical director and practicing Licensed Psychologist specializing in perinatal and women’s issues. She has five amazing boys; four on earth and one she carries in her heart. She works collaboratively with clients, families and health care providers to develop a tailored treatment approach. Harmony is certified in perinatal loss care through Hospice and Palliative Care and is a Stillbirthday birth and bereavement doula. Her own experiences with adjustment to parenthood and child loss drive her commitment to providing compassionate care while working to reduce stigma associated with maternal mental health.
Dr. Melissa Laraby is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in integrative approaches to mental health and well-being that combines traditional psychotherapy with complimentary healing practices, such as mindfulness meditation and yoga. Melissa strives to meet the individual treatment needs of each client and views herself as facilitating her clients in their healing process.
Kaelyn Folstad is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in trauma-informed approaches to addressing child, adolescent and adult mental health. She enjoys working with a variety of individuals, couples and families utilizing an eclectic combination of interventions to best meet client needs. She has extensive experience working with clients identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community, those navigating personal and relational challenges, and family system transitions. Kaelyn strives to come alongside clients and families to help find hope and healing through the therapy process.
Dr. Erica Kanewischer is a Couple and Family Therapist specializing in couples and marriage counseling. She works with couples around relationship struggles, communication problems, affairs, stress and divorce decision making. Dr. Kanewischer also specializes in working with helping professionals dealing with stress, compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress and burnout, Discernment Counseling and Premarital Counseling. She has been working in clinical settings for 15 years and has an array of experience with youth, adults, individuals, couples and families. Dr. Kanewischer assists clients in gaining insight into their experiences, finding new ways to cope with stressors and gain new skills. She draws from Experiential Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Dr. Kanewischer received her Master’s degree from Seattle Pacific University and her PhD from the University of Minnesota. She has also taught at several local Universities and Colleges in undergraduate and graduate programs as well as worked as the Chief Operating Officer for a nation-wide Employee Assistance Program. Dr. Kanewischer is a nationally approved supervisor.
As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Matthew’s approach is client centered. He works hard to meet the client where they are. Matthew also utilizes a holistic and family systems approaches. He is Adlerian trained and utilizes mindfulness based stress reduction and yoga when appropriate. Mathew also draws from CBT and DBT skills. Matthew is trained in EMDR and works with clients who have experienced trauma. He has 18 years of experience in the mental health field working with individuals of all ages. Matthew works with individuals who struggle with anger, anxiety, attention, autism, depression and substance abuse. He also enjoys working with parents and working with family systems.
Dr. Alise Novak is a licensed clinical psychologist devoted to joining her clients and their families in their journey towards healing and mental health. She has many years of experience working with diverse children (infancy through adolescence), families, and adults in varied capacities to address issues related to anxiety and mood disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, trauma, and family/parenting challenges. Alise’s practice at The NEST is focused on supporting those impacted by infertility and perinatal issues, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. She has specialty and a unique clinical understanding as her own journey towards parenthood was disrupted and challenging. Alise values developing a meaningful therapeutic relationship to promote a safe space where clients can process, make sense of their story, and feel empowered towards acceptance, change, and healing. She also considers herself both a clinician and an advocate for her clients. Alise actively supports and advocates for clients across environments, not just in the therapy office. She does this through collaboration with other providers and assisting clients in accessing additional resources and supportive services. Alise is an active member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and has received focused certification in the treatment of reproductive mental health issues.
Anna is a clinical social worker with a special interest in helping individuals and families navigate the array of complicated emotions and experiences that can occur during the reproductive years. Anna’s therapeutic approach is strengths-based and collaborative in nature. She utilizes aspects of cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapies in her work. She strives to partner with and support clients wherever they are and believes that feeling heard and validated are empowering first steps on any path toward healing and improved well-being. Anna has three young children and a personal history of fertility challenges which has left her with a heart full of compassion and empathy for women and families at any stage of the family-building process.
